While studying in Lacoste, France for a quarter, we were asked to design a space that could be incorporated in to a local quarry. Knowing that the area was full of grape farmers for the local Provincial wine, I decided that a winery and processing plant would work well in the unique space of the quarry. The buildings project out of the quarry walls with a structural skin wrapping around that would be able to host grape plants for hydroponic growing. The multiple buildings emphasis the process and steps in the wine making process.
